For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person— though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but l God shows his love for us in that m while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom. 5:6-8).
As humans, we cannot deny the fact that we are sinners. You don’t have to go far to ascertain the truth of your sinfulness. Pause and examine your life, thoughts and actions. If you are being honest with your self-examination, you will acknowledge your sinfulness. And because we are sinners, we deserve punishment which is separation from God in all eternity.
Sinners are enemies of God and doomed for eternal damnation.
But God, in his great mercy and love gives us an opportunity to be reconciled to him by offering Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for sins so that by faith in Christ we will find pardon and gain eternal life. God has shown his love in Christ so sinners can come to salvation. Christ died for your sins and its punishment so you need not pay for your sins.
One question everyone must be able to answer is whether they are an enemy or child of God. The only way we can be sure we are children of God is when we repent of our sins and trust in Christ for our salvation.
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12).
Pray for God to forgive your sins and open your heart for his truth that leads to repentance and faith in Christ.
